Tour A: Cappadocia
Mystery of the Early Christians Some three million years ago, violent volcanic eruptions
covered the plateau in this area with tufa, a soft stone comprised of lava, ash
and mud. Subsequently, the wind and rain eroded the brittle rock to form a spectacular
surrealistic landscape of rock cones and capped pinnacles, called FAIRY CHIMNEYS,
that are painted in colours ranging from warm reds and gold to cool greens and greys.
During Byzantine times, christian chapels and monasteries were hollowed out of the
rock, and later these dwellings served as refuge for christians, persecuted by the
Romans.
Early departure from Antalya to Cappadocia region. Visit the underground, eleven-storied
city of Kaymakli, see the extraordinary rock formations at Ughisar and the charming
town of Grgup with its fairy chimneys. Lunch in the area. Dinner and accommodation
at a local hotel.
Visit the rock dwellings, chapels and monasteries of the Goreme Valley, Zelve Valley,
villages of Qavusin and Avcilar. Lunch in the area. Dinner and accommodation at
a local hotel.
Early departure from the hotel and drive to Kayseri to fly back to Istanbul.

Tour B: Ephesus and Pergamum
Resurrected Cities of the Roman Flight from Antalya to Izmir where you visit the
Roman Agora, the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum and Kadifekale (Mt Pagus).
Lunch in a local restaurant in Izmir. Dinner and accommodation at a local hotel.
Full-day tour to Ephesus to see the extensive ruins including baths, gymnasium,
theatres and other monuments which line the marble streets. Also visit the reputed
last home John and the Seljuk Museum. Lunch in the area. Dinner and of the Virgin
Mary, the Basilica of St. accommodation at a local hotel.
Full-day tour to Pergamum, visiting the Acropolis, the famous Altar of Zeus, the
precipitous theatre and Asclepium, one of the foremost medical centers of the ancient
world. Lunch in the area. Return to Istanbul by an early evening flight.

Tour C: Istanbul
Early departure from Antalya to istanbul. Visit the Roman Hippodrome to see the
Serpentine Column, the Egyptian Obelisk and then visit the 17th century Ottoman
Blue Mosque is famous for its six minarets and magnificent blue oznik tiles which
line its interior. Visit to St. Sophia, the great Byzantine Basilica built in the
6th century. Proceed to the magnificent Topkapi Palace to see the unique crown jewellery,
Chinese porcelain and exquisite displays of clothing, dating back many hundreds
of years. Last visit will be to the Covered Bazaar to explore the maze of over 4'000
tiny shops selling leather, copper, carpet, antiquities, souvenirs and jewellery.
Lunch in the area. Accommodation at a local hotel.
Sail up the Bosphorus, the waterway between Europe and Asia, as far as the Black
Sea, passing under the suspension bridges and viewing Ottoman summer palaces, waterside
mansions and modern villas which line the European and Asian coasts. Also pass by
the 15th century fortress built before Istanbul was conquered by Sultan Mehmet the
Conqueror. Disembark at a small village near the Black Sea and return to Istanbul
by motorcoach. Lunch in the area. Accommodation at a local hotel.
Departure from the hotel and to Istanbul Ataturk International Airport.

Cancellation Policy for the Tours
Cancellation can be made up to 6 weeks prior to the tour for a full refund. Thereafter
no refund can be provided. Topkon Travel reserves the right to cancel a tour if
the minimum number of 10 participants is not met. Such cancellations are fully refunded.
