Building on a tradition of well structured annual gait courses, this year's course offer a unique opportunity by combining expertise in the field of clinical gait analysis.
The ESMAC Gait Course will introduce the concepts of clinical gait analysis to non-experienced personnel. Concepts covered will include measurement and processing techniques, as well as data interpretation and clinical decision making. Clinical case studies will provide an essential part of the teaching program. A faculty of experts in the field covering the different disciplines involved in clinical gait analysis will interact with you during these three days.
The course program brings a balanced mixture of lectures and interactive small group sessions (max 20 pers). Total number of participants is approximately 60.
Number of places is limited, so the rule "first come - first serve" will be applied.
There will be four seminars on different topics. Each will last approximately 3,5 hours, with a coffee break in the middle.
Following is the list of the seminars, with the names of their directors:
- What can Gait Analysis offer Prosthetics? - James Robb, UK
- Quality of Life - Adam Shortland, UK
- Movement analysis of the upper extremity - Jaap Harlaar, The Netherlands
- Musculoskeletal Modelling - Andrew Roberts, UK
I sincerely hope to meet you in Antalya to wish you a warm welcome!
